Custom Elements Detection 101

A demo of Vexcel's Custom Elements detection — POST /elements/detect. See the API docs.

The overview image shows all detections across every image as centroids, while the per-image maps show each image's bounding boxes only.

1. Location

A point has no area to search — this sets a square bounding box of this width/height centered on it (via bbox-dimensions). Ignored for polygons.

2. Elements to detect

Plain-language labels — no training needed, e.g. "boat", "sand trap".
Advanced
Obliques are only actually requested if confirmed available at this location. Unchecking all obliques skips that check entirely. Adding more imagery sources will likely improve detections, but will take longer to process.
